Terms of use

1. Scope and acceptance

These terms apply to every page on fdetimes.net, including articles, the roadmap, videos, job pages, the CV form and the newsletter sign-up. By continuing to use FDE Times you accept these terms. If you do not, please stop using the site.

2. Content on FDE Times

2.1 Articles, analysis, the roadmap and book and course summaries are written for reference as you learn and work. They are not professional, legal, financial or career advice for your particular situation.

2.2 Each article lists its sources at the end. We check facts before publishing, but technology, pricing and hiring information change quickly. Check the primary documentation before making an important decision.

2.3 When we find a mistake, we correct the article. You can report an error as described under Contact.

3. Copyright and how you may use our content

3.1 FDE Times articles, graphics and design belong to FDE Times, except third-party photos and material, which are credited with their source and licence.

3.2 You may read, save articles for later, share links and quote short passages with credit to FDE Times and a link to the original article.

3.3 You may not republish all or most of an article, resell our content, or copy it in bulk to build another site without written permission from FDE Times.

3.4 Search engines and AI assistants may access the site under the rules in robots.txt; a machine-readable summary is at llms.txt.

4. Third-party content and links

4.1 Videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and posts from X through X's official embed. When you watch them, those platforms' own terms and privacy policies apply.

4.2 Photographs come from openly licensed libraries (CC0, public domain or CC BY), with the author and licence credited under each photo.

4.3 Links to other sites are there for further reading. We do not control and are not responsible for their content.

5. Job listings

5.1 Job listings are collected from each company's official careers pages and refreshed several times a day. A role may have closed or changed before the next refresh.

5.2 FDE Times is not the employer and does not guarantee any outcome of an application. Hiring decisions belong to each company.

6. When you send a CV

What we keep

Your CV file, the role you applied for, when you sent it, and your name, email or LinkedIn if you provide them.

Why

To contact you about the role you applied for and to suggest suitable FDE opportunities. Your CV is sent to a hiring company only after we ask and you agree.

Where

Cloudflare's encrypted storage. Only FDE Times administrators can see it, through a login-protected admin area.

How long

At most 12 months from the day you send it, or less if you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

Ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time, as described under Contact. We process data in line with Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection.

7. The FDE this week newsletter

When you subscribe, we keep your email address and the page you subscribed from, only to send the weekly newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link: one click, no login. Your address is never sold or shared.

8. Data kept in your browser

Your saved articles and reading progress on the roadmap are stored in your own browser (localStorage) and never sent to our servers. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes them. FDE Times shows no ads and sets no tracking cookies.

9. Limitation of liability

FDE Times is provided free of charge and as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using or being unable to use the site, or from relying on its content without checking the primary sources.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site adds features or when regulations change. The date of the last update is always shown at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam.
